COVID-19 Message to CAFNR Students

CAFNR students:

We want to reassure you that CAFNR’s faculty and staff are doing all we can to keep your education as uninterrupted as possible. As you learned from the Chancellor’s message, all in-person (face-to-face) classes have been suspended for Thursday and Friday (March 12 and 13). Please note that online classes will proceed as usual.

Starting Monday, classes the week of March 16 – 20 will be conducted remotely. Faculty are currently preparing learning materials, experiences, and assignments for next week. Please check your Canvas course sites for information specific to each class. If you have additional questions, please contact your instructors or CAFNR’s Office of Academic Programs (573-882-8301,

To avoid large crowds, we are discouraging student clubs and organizations from conducting meetings through March 29. Furthermore, student travel sponsored by the university is restricted.

If you are a student employee working for a CAFNR business operation (Buck’s Ice Cream, Tiger Garden, Mizzou Meat Market, and the Café at Eckles), a research laboratory or other office in CAFNR, you may continue performing your work responsibilities, providing you are comfortable with the work environment and being on campus. Your supervisor will support you if you decide not to work during this time.

Most importantly, please distance yourself from others if you don’t feel well; and if you experience flu symptoms, contact the MU Student Health Center.

Again, please understand it is our desire to keep your educational experience as uninterrupted as possible while maintaining a safe environment. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns.
